The Book of Zechariah
Shadows of the New Covenant and the Spiritual Temple
Welcome to Zechariah
Written to the post-exilic remnant rebuilding the physical temple, Zechariah's visions rapidly elevate beyond the stones of Jerusalem to reveal the grand architecture of the New Creation. This book is the prophetic bedrock for the Book of Revelation. Here, we witness the transition from a localized, fleshly covenant to the universal, fulfilled reality of Christ's indestructible Kingdom, culminating in the final shaking of the Old Covenant order in AD 70.
We highly recommend reading the Preface to Zechariah before beginning the chapter studies to orient yourself to the fulfilled eschatological framework.
