Matthew’s coming-language is throne-language, not a space-travel itinerary.
In Daniel 7 the one like a son of man comes to heaven’s court and is given dominion. The movement is upward and royal.
Matthew 10, 16, 24, and 26 use the idiom inside “this generation” and “you will see” frames. That is audience relevance.
When the old city fell and the gospel already ran among the nations, Daniel 7 had become visible on earth as the public side of a reign already given.
The Son of Man has the dominion. New Creation life is life under that received kingdom.
