A Covenantal Fulfillment Reading of Redemptive History
Adam lost the Glory. The Last Adam restored it.
Most readers still treat redemptive history as an unfinished countdown. Scripture traces a completed covenant movement: first Adam to Last Adam, old house to New Creation, scorecard to sonship. When the old covenant world passed, the one new man stood in the open.
New Creation in the Last Adam reads the whole arc as fulfillment, not delay. The problem was never only Sinai. The problem was Adam. Christ is the Last Adam, a life-giving Spirit. We live in the Eighth Day — inheritance now, not fear of a postponed world.
Two Adams, one story: The first man of dust and the heavenly Man. Image lost, image restored.
Covenant, not biology as the frame: Death and life in Adam and Christ are covenantal headship before they are later speculation about flesh.
The old world closed: Cross deactivated the guardian. AD 70 publicly ended the temple house. The age to come is the environment we inhabit.
One new man: Not Jew or Gentile as rival tracks. Open gates. Royal priesthood. Glory in the living temple.
Finished work, present rest: Eternal life now. Seated. Walking in the Light. Not waiting for Doomsday to start living.
Christian faith is not a countdown timer. It is the environment of the Last Adam. We do not perform to get in. We live because the Glory has been restored.
